A Little About Me

I was born in South Korea but spent my formative years in a small village in the north-eastern part of China where I developed a deep passion for math and physics, drawn to their concrete solutions, which in turn ignited my interests in problem solving. I also cultivated a deep appreciation for the art of Chinese calligraphy, valuing the virtues it instilled in me - patience, discipline, and a sense of calm.

My academic journey led me to obtain my Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2020, followed by a Master's degree in 2023, where I was fortunate to be advised by Shanshan Yao for my research project. I enjoy hands-on work, tinkering, prototyping, and crafting innovative tools and devices. I immerse myself in challenges, constantly seeking ways to create solutions that are intuitive and ergonomic. I also enjoy slouching over my desk doing CAD and running codes.

5 random things about me:

1. I am detail-oriented.

2. I am a long distance runner.

3. I love art.

4. I rescued and adopted 2 wild feral cats.

5. I have a dog too.
